1. Remove the air filter.

2. Drain the coolant.

3. Disconnect the wiring connectors around or on the intake manifold.

4. Unhook the high voltage wire guide.

5. Disconnect the vacuum tubes from the intake manifold.

6. Reduce the fuel pressure using the special valve on the fuel distributor.

7. Unscrew the pressure (17/3) and return (17/2) fuel lines.

8. Disconnect the vacuum line from the brake booster.

9. Remove the guide (27).

10. Disconnect the cable (30) from the throttle control lever (9).

11. Remove the cable (30) from the lever (10). Press it out together with the plastic retainer (28).

12. Disconnect the cable (98).

13. Disconnect the cooling system hose (33) at the front of the intake manifold.

14. Disconnect the coolant hose at the rear of the intake manifold.

15. Unscrew bolts (14), (15) and (16).

16. Remove the inlet manifold (19).

17. Replace the gaskets (18).

Installation



Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal. The order of tightening the intake manifold mounting bolts is shown in the illustration.

1. Remove the fuel rail together with the injectors.

2. Remove the air flow meter.

3. Drain the coolant.

4. Disconnect the wiring connector from the throttle body (M16/1x1).

5. Disconnect all electrical connections on the intake manifold.

6. Disconnect the vacuum tube from the test valve.

7. Disconnect the coolant pipe (33/1) at the rear of the intake manifold.

8. Disconnect the cooling system hose (33) at the front of the intake manifold.

9. Unscrew the mounting bolts (14), (15) and (16) of the intake manifold.

10. Remove the inlet manifold (19).

11. Replace the gaskets (18).

Installation
