Removal



1. Disconnect the ground cable from the battery.

2. Drain the cooling system (see Chapter Routine maintenance). If you are not going to add new fluid to the system, save the drained fluid for future use.

3. Disconnect the pipe from the thermostat housing.

4. Remove the thermostat cover/housing.

5. Remove the thermostat from the housing - try to remember the location of the air bleed ball valve and the orientation of the thermostat itself.

Installation



Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal. Do not forget to replace the sealing ring.

Note: The thermostat is installed with the air bleed ball valve facing up.
