Removal
1. Disconnect the negative (-) battery cable with the ignition off. The cabin air filter box must be removed first.
Warning! Before disconnecting the cable, find out the radio receiver security code, if any, refer to Section Replacing the battery.
2. Open the trunk lid/tailgate.
3. Open the side trim in the area of the rear light.
4. Disconnect the rear light connector.
5. If necessary, remove the lamp holder as described in Section Replacement of incandescent lamps for outdoor lighting devices.

6. Unscrew the nuts (arrows in the illustration) (shown is the rear light of the Sedan).
Note: On the Universal model, the side nut is covered with a plate.
7. Remove the tail light.
Installation
1. If there are cracks or damage to the rubber gasket, as well as cracks in the diffuser, it is necessary to replace it, otherwise water will penetrate into the interior.
2. Install the lamp with the gasket in place. Check that the gasket is positioned correctly.
3. Secure the lantern with four nuts. The nuts must be tightened evenly.
4. Connect the flashlight connector.
5. Close the side panel.
