Removal

1. Raise the car.

2. Remove the lower engine compartment cover.

3. Spray all exhaust system bolts and nuts with anti-corrosion agent and wait for the agent to take effect.

4. Unscrew the front exhaust pipe on the exhaust manifold (158/1) from below. (158) – catalytic converter.

5. Support the exhaust system with wooden supports.

6. Unscrew the nuts (10/2), (8/2) on the threaded plate (10/1), (8/1). Remove this plate.

7. Unhook the rubber supports (7/1), (9/1) using self-made keys.

8. Release the exhaust system and remove it.

Installation

1. Before assembling the exhaust system, check that the flange to the exhaust manifold is not warped; if necessary, it must be adjusted.

2. Check the rubber mounts for porosity and damage.

3. Fasten the new exhaust system, tighten the connecting flange slightly.

4. If old exhaust system parts are reinstalled, clean the connection points with sandpaper to remove any residual combustion products and corrosion.

Attention! To make it easier to unscrew the exhaust system nuts and bolts later, it is recommended to coat them with high-temperature paste, for example, "Liqui Moly LM-508-ASC".

5. Hang the exhaust system on the rubber supports.

6. By rotating and shifting in the longitudinal direction, orient the system so that there is sufficient clearance in relation to the structure everywhere and the rubber supports are loaded evenly.

7. Tighten the threaded plate with a torque of 20 Nm (approximate value).

8. Firmly tighten the bolts on the connecting flange and the bolts to the front exhaust pipe on the manifold to 20 Nm.
