The center and main mufflers are factory-installed as a one-piece design. A defective main muffler can also be replaced separately.
If the middle muffler needs to be replaced, the main muffler must also be changed if the one-piece exhaust pipe is installed. If the main muffler has already been replaced once, the middle muffler can be replaced separately.
1. Disassemble the exhaust system, starting with the middle muffler.
2. Lay the new main muffler on top of the old system and mark the pipe lengths for the removed system.
3. Install a second system on the exhaust pipe approximately 80 mm from the marking towards the main muffler.
4. Cut off the exhaust pipe at the second mark. Attention: the length of the inserted part must be 70–80 mm.
5. Clean the exhaust pipe with sandpaper and fit the main muffler, after sliding the pipe clamp onto the exhaust pipe.
6. Tighten the clamping bolt slightly without tightening it.
7. Install the exhaust system.
8. Align the main muffler horizontally and tighten the mounting bolt tightly.
