Windshield and Headlight Washer System — Checking Condition (Mercedes-Benz C-Class W201)

1. Make sure all washer jets are clean and a strong stream of fluid flows from the jets. Headlight washer jets should be adjusted so that the fluid stream hits just above the center of the headlight glass. On a windshield washer with two jets, aim one jet so that the fluid stream hits just above the center of the glass, and the second jet just below it to ensure complete cleaning of the windshield. If necessary, adjust the jets with a needle. Keep in mind that when the car is moving, the air flow over the hood and windshield tends to press the jets down, so adjust them so that this is possible.

2. Mercedes-Benz recommends that windscreen wiper blades are replaced regularly at the specified intervals, regardless of their condition (see "Weekly check").
