1. Carefully inspect the seat belt webbing for cuts, fraying or damage. If a retractor type seat belt is installed, pull the belt out and inspect the webbing along its entire length.
2. Fasten and unfasten the belt, making sure that the belt buckle holds the belt securely and opens easily when required. If the belt is of the retractor type, check the operation of the retractor mechanism.
3. Check the security of all accessible seat belt anchor points. Do not remove decorative trim or other interior parts.
