1. Lubricate the hood, door and tailgate hinges with a light multi-purpose oil. Likewise, lubricate all latches, locks and lock stops. At the same time, check the reliability and operation of all locks. Adjust them if necessary (see Chapter 11).
2. Lightly lubricate the hood release mechanism and cable with a suitable lubricant.
3. If the vehicle is equipped with an external antenna, pull it out and remove all traces of dust from its housing. Lubricate the antenna elbows with light multi-purpose oil and push it back in.
4. On models with a sunroof, open the sunroof fully rearward and clean the guide rails. Apply fresh multi-purpose grease and close the sunroof.
