Checking the carburetor damper oil level — Stromberg type carburetor (Mercedes-Benz C-Class W201)

1. Unscrew the inspection hole plug from the top of the carburetor damper (see fig. 10.1).

1. Unscrew the inspection hole plug from the top of the carburetor damper (see fig. 10.1).


2. Make sure that the damper oil level reaches the lower edge of the inspection hole.

3. If necessary, add the required fluid specified in the section Technical data (see fig. 10.3).

4. When finished, install the inspection hole plug and tighten securely.
