Note: New steering damper bolt nuts are required for installation.
Removing
1. Apply the parking brake and place wedges under the rear wheels. Raise the front of the car with a jack and place it on stands (see "Lifting the vehicle and placing it on stands").
2. Loosen and unscrew the nuts and bolts of the shock absorber, remembering how they are installed (see fig. 26.2, a, b).

3. Check up a condition of the shock-absorber and rubber plugs. If wear, damage or destruction is found, replace.
Installation
4. Installation is carried out in the reverse order. Make sure the shock absorber is installed correctly. Screw with the required torque new nuts on the mounting bolts.
