Front wheels



Removal



1. Remove the front wheels.

1. Remove the front wheels.


2. Disconnect brake hose 51 from brake pipe 5 and then from caliper 31.

3. Disconnect the 510/1x1 wiring connector from the 810x1 front wheel speed sensor.

4. Unscrew the 510/1x1 wiring connector.

5. Remove the front wheel speed sensor L6/1 if necessary.

Installation



Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.

Replacement



Replacement


1. Press out protective covers 45.

2. Insert the 040 metal segment, 28 mm thick, into the caliper, then carefully press out the 47 pistons.

3. Remove the pistons using 020 pliers.

4. Check pistons 47 and the bore in the caliper for damage and replace them if necessary.



5. Remove piston seal 50 from the groove in the cylinder bore.

6. Assembly is carried out in the reverse order. The dimensions of the front wheel brake caliper are given in Specifications.

Rear wheels



Removal



1. Remove the rear wheel.

1. Remove the rear wheel.


2. Disconnect brake hose 51 from brake pipe 5 and then from caliper 31.

3. Disconnect the wiring connector 810/4x1 from the right brake pad wear sensor S10/4.

4. Unscrew the 510/4x1 wiring connector.

5. Unscrew the brake caliper 31 from the wheel support.

Installation



Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
