Removal



1. Remove the timing chain from the camshaft sprockets and the crankshaft sprocket.

2. Remove the oil pump drive chain together with the tension lever, tension spring and bushing.

3. Unscrew the oil deflector in the cylinder block and remove it.

4. Unscrew the connecting rod caps and remove them.

5. Unscrew the main bearing caps and remove them.

6. Remove the crankshaft.

Installation



1. Tighten the crankshaft main cap bolts in the order shown in the illustration.
