Power steering pump on 12 cylinder models

Power steering pump on 12 cylinder models


1. Remove the fluid from the power steering reservoir.

2. Disconnect the intake pipe from the tank.



3. Remove the feed pipe, fan shroud, distributor cap, etc. to gain easier access to the pump, depending on the engine type.

4. Remove the generator drive belt.

5. Disconnect the pump pulley (41).

6. Unscrew the return (30f) and pressure (30i) pipes.

7. Disconnect the discharge (27a) and return (27b) lines from the "Tandem" pump (on models with automatic clearance adjustment).

8. Disconnect oil lines (27c) and (27d).

9. Disconnect the pump (30). On models with 8-cylinder engines: remove the pump from the beam, then disconnect the pump from this beam.

Installation



Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.

Fill the power steering fluid reservoir.
