Cooling liquid (Mercedes-Benz S-Class W116)

The cooling system is filled with antifreeze at the factory and must be filled with it for the entire period of operation. When mixing antifreeze and water, it is necessary to maintain certain proportions. It is recommended to use antifreeze made specifically for Mercedes engines:

Engine 116:
  • Freezing point - 30°C;
  • 5.5 l antifreeze, 7.0 l water;
  • Freezing point - 40°C;
  • 6.5 l of antifreeze, 6.0 l of water.

Engine 117:
  • Freezing point - 30°C;
  • 6.5 l antifreeze, 7.0 l water;
  • Freezing point -40°C;
  • 7.0 l antifreeze, 8.0 l water.

Engine 110:
  • Freezing point -30°C;
  • 4.75 l antifreeze, 5.75 l water
  • Freezing point -40°C:
  • 5.5 l of antifreeze, 5.0 l of water.
