Supply air fan (Mercedes-Benz E-Class W210)
The fan has five speeds, which are switched by a rotary switch on the front panel. The speeds are switched by connecting additional resistance resistors to the circuit, which reduce the voltage supplied to the electric motor and thus change its rotation speed. The fan's electric motor develops maximum rotation speed with direct voltage supply.
