Removal a headlight from a car

Removal a headlight from a car

1. On models with headlight wipers, mark the position of the wiper arm in relation to the headlight. Lift the cap covering the wiper arm shaft, then unscrew the arm mounting nut and remove the headlight wiper arm (see fig. Unscrewing the headlight wiper arm mounting nut).

2. Remove the turn signal bulb.

3. Remove the screws and trim panel located at the base of the headlight. On models with headlight washers, disconnect the washer hose (see Fig. Location of screws for fastening the decorative panel at the base of the headlight).

4. Unscrew the headlight mounting bolts (see fig. Location of inner headlight mounting bolt, Location of outer headlight mounting bolts).

5. Release the upper headlight retainer by turning it 90°, then remove the headlight and disconnect the vacuum hose and electrical connector from it (see fig. Releasing the upper headlight retainer, Disconnecting the vacuum hose and electrical connector from the headlight, Removing the headlight from the vehicle), if necessary, remove the headlight glass.

6. Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal. Slightly tighten the headlight mounting bolts and check the alignment of the headlight with the lower decorative panel and the hood. If necessary, adjust the position of the headlight by loosening the mounting bolts and the upper retainer. Finally, check the adjustment of the headlight beam.
