Removing
1. Remove the bottom cover of the engine compartment, refer to Section Checking the engine with a vacuum gauge.
2. Drain the engine oil or suck it out, refer to Section Changing the engine oil and oil filter.
3. Disconnect the connector (1) oil level sensor (2).
4. Turn out bolts (3). Tilt the sensor and remove it from the oil pan.
Installation
1. Install the oil level sensor with a new sealing ring and secure it with a torque of 14Nm (with a new oil pan with a torque of 10 Nm).
2. Plug in the connector.
3. Install the bottom cover of the engine compartment, refer to Section Checking the engine with a vacuum gauge.
4. Fill in impellent oil in system, address to the Section Changing the engine oil and oil filter.
5. Start and warm up the engine. Check the oil level sensor for leaks.
6-cylinder petrol engine
1. Remove the lower part of the oil pan.
2. Disconnect the oil level sensor from below (front, next to the oil suction pipe), by unscrewing the 2 Torx screws.
3. Fasten the oil level sensor with a torque of 10 Nm.
