Removal
1. Remove the cylinder head cover.
2. Unscrew the chain tensioner.
3. Remove the fuel pump.
4. Remove the front cover.
5. Lift the upper guide stopper. The upper guide cannot be removed.

6. Remove the front cover forward.
Installation
1. Clean the mating surfaces on the front cover and the adjacent surface.
2. Apply a bead of sealant (1) 1.5±0.5 mm thick as shown in the illustration. Loctite-5900 can be used as a sealant.
3. Install the front cover (2) and tighten it to a torque of 14 Nm. At the same time, also secure the holder of the electrical wire of the shut-off valve.
Secure the lid within 10 minutes after applying the sealant. Do not smear the sealant.
4. Install the fuel pre-supply pump.
5. Install the chain tensioner with a new sealing ring.
6. Install the cylinder head cover.
