1 - Filler plug; 2, 3 - Sealing rings; 4 - Bushing; 5 - Seal; 6 - Front cover; 7 - Distance ring; 8 - Ball bearing; 9 - Retaining ring; 10 - Drive shaft


1. Remove the center differential lock actuator slave cylinder assembly (see Section Removal and installation the slave cylinder of the interaxle differential lock drive).

2. Unscrew the mounting bolts and remove the front cover (6).

3. Remove the ball bearing (8) from its seat in the cover.

4. Remove the sealing ring (3) and oil seal (5).

5. Carefully wipe and inspect the removed components, replace if necessary.

6. Installation is carried out in the reverse order - before installation, lubricate the seal (4) and O-rings (2 and 3) with a universal grease such as Molykote.
