Basic provisions
1. The main parts of a gasoline vapor recovery system are a purge valve, a thermal valve, and one or two absorbers (depends on the model), containing activated carbon and a set of connecting vacuum hoses.
2. The purge valve clips onto the left side of the bulkhead at the rear of the engine compartment. The absorber is mounted on a bracket on the left front wheel arch.

Removing
4. The thermal valve is screwed into the body from the left front side of the cylinder head.
5. Make sure the engine is cold, then refer to Chapter 1, and partially drain the coolant.
6. Disconnect the vacuum hoses, then unscrew the thermal valve from the body and remove the o-ring.
Installation
7. Installation is carried out in the reverse order. Install a new o-ring on the thermal valve.
