Basic information
1. Various modifications of the recirculation system are used. The type of system and its principle will depend on the year of manufacture, type of engine and vehicle market.
2. The description of each recirculation system is beyond the scope of this manual, so the actions described in this paragraph are limited to the replacement of major parts, which is common to all systems.
Solenoid vacuum valve
Removing
3. The solenoid valve is located in the engine compartment on the right side.
4. Make sure the ignition is off, then disconnect the plug from the valve block.
5. Note the location of the vacuum hoses so you can reinstall them correctly. After that, remove the hoses from the valve nozzles.
6. Turn away screws and take out the valve from a motor compartment.
Installation
7. Installation is carried out in the reverse order. Make sure that the vacuum hoses are connected to the appropriate connections on the valve, as they were before disconnecting.
Exhaust gas Recirculation valve
Removing
8. Make sure the engine is completely cool before starting work.
9. Disconnect the vacuum hose from the tube on top of the EGR valve.
10. Where provided, remove the nuts and separate the recirculation tube from the EGR valve flange. Remove the pad.
11. Loosen and remove the nuts, then remove the EGR valve from the exhaust manifold.
Installation
12. Installation is carried out in the reverse order. Check that the fastening nuts are tightened to the specified torque.
