Removal the generator
Disconnect the battery ground wire.
Disconnect the multi-pin plug connector from the rear wall of the generator. First, unfold the wire clamp with a screwdriver and move it to the side.
Loosen the fan belt tension and remove it.
Unscrew the generator bracket secured with two bolts and remove it.
Caution: If the upper mounting bolt (see arrow) jammed, remove the generator together with the bracket (2).
Note: A 0.85 mm thick gasket (f) can be installed between the bracket and the cylinder head (2). Do not lose this gasket when removing the bracket. When reinstalling, the gasket must fit into the recess in the bracket.
Generator installation
Install the alternator and secure it with two bolts. Tighten the top bolt to the cylinder head.
Install the fan belt in place and tighten it.

Install the multi-pin plug connector and secure it with a wire clamp.
Connect the ground wire to the battery.
