1. The fluid level in the automatic transmission is measured with the engine and gearbox warmed up. To warm up the power unit to the required temperature, you can make a short (15 kilometers) trip.
2. Place the car on a horizontal surface, securely tighten the handbrake. To securely fix the car, place supports under the wheels.
3. Start the engine and let it idle. Press the brake pedal and carefully move the selector from position P to position 1, then back to P.

4. The fluid level dipstick is located at the rear of the gearbox. Before removing the dipstick, thoroughly wipe the area around it. Dirt must not get inside the gearbox.
5. Remove the dipstick and wipe off any traces of fluid with a rag. Put the dipstick back in place and remove it again. The fluid level should be between the marks on the dipstick.
Note: If you measure the level when the engine is cold, the result will be lower than the real one. Be sure to check the level on a warm engine, since exceeding the maximum permissible fluid level can lead to failure of the gearbox.
6. Add fluid through the dipstick well. Do not allow dirt to get inside the box. Add only fresh fluid and only through the funnel (preferably with a filter).
7. Add liquid in small portions, constantly checking the level.
8. After you have restored the fluid level in the box, return the dipstick to its place and turn off the engine.
9. If you have to frequently top up the fluid in the box, it means there is a leak somewhere. Fix it immediately.
