1 - Control LED for switch on center console

The anti-theft alarm is ready for operation after approximately 15 seconds if the car has been locked with the key. This is confirmed by the flashing of the control LED "1".

If the vehicle is unlocked with the key, the alarm is turned off.

Note: If the vehicle was unlocked with an emergency key other than the main key, the alarm will sound.

The alarm can only be turned off by inserting the key into the ignition or pressing the buttons or on the key.

The alarm is triggered if, when the anti-theft alarm is operational:

  • The door was open;
  • The trunk was opened;
  • The hood was open.

Audible alarm: An additional intermittent audible signal sounds for 30 seconds.

Light warning signal: The warning light signal lights flash for about 5 minutes at double the flashing frequency.

The alarm remains activated even if, for example, an open door is immediately closed.

To avoid false alarm activation, the tow-away protection device must be switched off during intended transport or loading of the vehicle onto a transport vehicle.

Turn the ignition key to position 0 or 1.

Press the switch at the top "1". The control LED "3" on the single lock switch lights up briefly.

If the interior protection device should also be switched off, wait until the indicator LED goes out.

Lock the car with the key.

The tow-away protection device remains disengaged until the next time the key is locked.

Interior protection device

The interior protection device is ready for use after approximately 30 seconds if the vehicle has been locked.

The alarm is triggered if the side windows are broken and the interior is penetrated.

Note: Raise the side windows and close the tilt/slide sunroof.

Do not leave any objects (for example, talismans or hangers) suspended from the interior rear-view mirror or from the grab handles on the ceiling of the passenger compartment - they can cause a false alarm.

Disabling the interior protection device

If people or animals must remain in the locked vehicle, turn off the interior protection device to avoid triggering a false alarm.

Turn the ignition key to position 0 or 1.

Press the switch at the bottom "2". The control LED on the single lock switch flashes briefly.

If the tow-away protection device should also be switched off, wait until the indicator LED goes out.

Lock the car with the key.

The interior protection device remains disabled until the next time the key is locked.
