Removal
1. Remove the tie rod end (4), refer to the relevant section.
2. Open and remove the clamps (2) and (3) of the cover (1). Check the condition of the clamps, replace the clamps if necessary.
3. Remove the cover.
4. Check for corrosion and play in the rack and pinion and inner joint. If there is corrosion, the rack and pinion mechanism must be replaced as a set. If the ball joint is worn, replace the inner tie rod with the axial joint (work of the service station).
Installation
Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal.
