Removal
1. Turn off the ignition by placing the key in position "O".
2. Remove the battery ground (–) cable.
Warning! This will erase the engine fault memory or radio anti-theft code. Read the instructions before disconnecting the battery subsection 13.1.7.

3. Remove the 2 airbag unit bolts on the left and right side of the steering wheel backside while holding the unit.
4. Remove the unit from the steering wheel and remove the wire plug on its back side.
Installation
Warning! If the airbag has been inflated, the steering wheel should be replaced. Follow the instructions for handling the airbag.
1. Connect the electrical connector to the airbag unit until you hear a click.
2. Insert the block, tighten the two mounting bolts with a torque of 6 Nm.
3. Connect the battery ground (–) cable.
4. If available, set the time on the clock and the radio anti-theft code.
