1. Place chocks under the front wheels, then lift the rear of the car and place it on supports.
2. Carefully inspect the front and rear rubber couplings of the cardan shaft. Pay attention to damage and destruction of the couplings in the form of tears or cracks. Destruction can be caused by contamination with oil or grease.
3. If any coupling requires replacement, contact Chapter 8 for a description of the replacement procedure.
