Note: To remove the transmission filler plug, you will need a hex key.
1. Place a suitable container under the transmission filler plug, located on the right side of the transmission. You will need a hex key to remove the plug, but if you don't have one, you can use a tall nut or a piece of hex and a wrench (see fig. 16.1).

2. The liquid level should be at the level of the lower edge of the filler/inspection hole.
3. If necessary, add fluid until it begins to flow out of the filler hole.
4. When the level is correct, install the plug and tighten it securely.
