1. Remove the retaining ring (3).
2. Press the ball bearing off the drive shaft.
3. Remove the 2nd gear helical gear (33) and ball bearing (70) with holder (73).
4. Press the ball bearing (70) out of the retainer (73).
5. Press the ball bearing (70) into the intermediate housing plate and secure it with the holder (73).
6. Measure and adjust the distance "C" (see section Checking the dimensional characteristics of the gearbox).
