Antifreeze check (Mercedes-Benz S-Class W126)

0
Before the cold season begins, it is necessary to check the concentration of antifreeze. A Warm up the engine until the radiator at the top reaches the temperature when the hand "endures".

Carefully open the lid.

Suck the coolant into the dipstick and measure the coolant density with the float. The antifreeze should reach a freezing point of -30°C in mid-latitudes.

Adding Mercedes Antifreeze Concentrate

Example: Measuring antifreeze with a rod gives a temperature value of -10°C. In this case, drain 3 liters of coolant from the cooling system and add 3 liters of pure antifreeze concentrate.
