A multifunctional tester has been developed, specially designed for testing work on cars. Using such a device, it is possible to measure the engine speed and ignition time, as well as voltages up to 20 V. When measuring resistance, this device has limits of the order of 1-1000 kOhm. If the device allows you to measure the current, then this is observed only in the area of \u200b\u200bmeasuring currents in the starter (launcher) mode.
Along with this, there are also measuring devices designed to control electrical and electronic components.
In these devices, of course, there is no possibility of measuring engine speed and ignition time. The advantage of such meters is the ability to measure both very small and very large resistances. Voltages can be measured over a very wide range and with high accuracy.
If the test is carried out in order to determine only the presence of voltage in the electrical circuit, it is sufficient to have a conventional control light (A). This method is applicable only in relation to circuits in which there are no electronic elements, since electronic controls are extremely sensitive to high currents. If you connect a test lamp to them, electronic devices may fail. Cars require a special high-resistance voltmeter (IN). It performs almost the same functions as a test lamp, but does not damage electronic devices.
