Removal and installation the C-pillar trim (Mercedes-Benz C-Class W203)

Removal



1. Release the rear seat and fold it forward.

2. Loosen the seat belt mounting bolt under the seat.

3. Disconnect the trim along the C-pillar.

4. Remove the SRS cover (1) from the trim and unscrew the bolt located underneath it.


4. Remove the SRS cover (1) from the trim and unscrew the bolt located underneath it.

5. Insert a plastic wedge into the gap between the C-pillar trim and the roof trim and pry the trim off.

6. Detach the trim at the brackets (2) from the C-pillar (arrows in the illustration) and remove it forward from the guide shelf.

7. Route the seat belt through the groove in the trim.

Installation



1. Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal.

2. Fasten the seat belt under the rear seat with a torque of 30 Nm.

Station wagon



Removal



1. Release the rear seat and fold it forward.

2. Remove the rear seat back side cushion as described in Section Removal and installation the rear seat.

3. Remove the trim along the C-pillar.

4. Remove the cover and disconnect the belt rotation bracket at the C-pillar.

5. Remove the trim in the cargo compartment, refer to the relevant section.

6. Detach the C-pillar trim from the bracket holder (2).

7. Remove the seat belt from the trim belt guide.

Installation



1. Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal.

2. Secure the belt rotation bracket to the C-pillar with a torque of 30 Nm.
