44a - External support; 44b - Sealing ring; 44c - Piston; 44d - Spring plate; 44e, 44h - Retaining rings; 44f - Disc spring; 44g - Disc block; 072 - Puller


1. Remove the retaining ring (44h) from the outer support.

2. Remove the disc block (44g) and disc spring (44f) from the outer support.

3. Place the puller (072) on the spring plate (44d) and press it until the retaining ring (44e) is released.

4. Remove the retaining ring (44e).

5. Remove the spring plate (44d) and piston (44c) from the outer support.

37 - Friction discs 1.6 mm thick/new thickness 2.1 mm; 41a - Outer disc thickness 4.0 mm; 41b - Outer disc thickness 3.5 mm/new thickness 2.8 mm; 41c - Outer disc thickness 1.8 mm; 44a - Outer support of clutch K3; 44g - Retaining ring; 44h - Disc spring; L - Gap




Assembly is carried out in the reverse order of disassembly. Check the gap between the retaining ring (44g) and the outer disk (41a). The gap size in the K3 clutch is given in the table below. If necessary, adjust the gap by selecting a retaining ring (44g) of the required thickness. Rings are available in thicknesses of 2.0, 2.3, 2.6, 2.9, 3.2 and 3.5 mm.
