Camshaft Installation Details
1 - Rod; 2 - Intake camshaft; 3 - Guide pin; 4 - Bolt; 5 - Camshaft sprocket; 6 - Intake camshaft; 7 - Exhaust camshaft; 8 - Camshaft cover; 10 - Timing chain tensioner; 11 - Tensioner seal; 12 - Bushing; 13 - Holes


Removal



1. Remove the cylinder head cover.

2. Bring the engine to the TDC position at the end of the compression stroke of the first cylinder.

3. Lock the intake camshaft (6) using a rod.

4. Install the flywheel retainer (7).

5. Mark the relative positions of the sprocket (5) and the timing chain.

6. Remove the chain tensioner (10).

7. Unscrew and remove the sprocket (5) of the exhaust camshaft (7).

8. Unscrew the camshaft housing from the cylinder head.

9. Remove the camshaft caps. First remove all caps except (3) and (6).

10. Loosen the cover bolts (3) and (6) (arrows) one turn at a time and remove them.

11. Remove the camshafts (6) and (7).

12. Remove the bushing (12).

Installation



The order of removing the camshaft covers: First remove all covers except (3) and (6)

Loosen the cover bolts (3) and (6) one by one

Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.

Tightening of the camshaft caps is carried out in the reverse order of removal. Replace the camshaft sprocket mounting bolts.

Camshaft codes: intake - 11, exhaust - 07.
