Air filter — removal and installation (Mercedes-Benz S-Class W126)

Removal

Remove the rubber tube (2) from the carburetor inlet fitting, having first loosened the clamp.

Remove the 3 fastening nuts for the air filter cover (10).

Remove the vacuum hose from the intake manifold.

Installation

Install the air filter housing, while placing the engine ventilation hose on the cylinder head cover and checking the correct fit of the warm air hose.

Secure the air filter housing with bolts. l Insert the replacement filter element so that the "TOP/OBEN" marking is on top.

Install the engine ventilation hose.
