Changing the air filter element (Mercedes-Benz S-Class W126)

The air filter element should be replaced every 60,000 km. When operating in dusty areas, replacement should be done more often.

Remove the air filter cover.

Remove the filter element.

Carefully wipe the filter housing.

Caution: Do not wash the filter element with gasoline or lubricate it with oil.

Install the new filter element so that the "TOP-OBEN" marking is at the top.

Place the lid on, secure it with nuts and fasten the wire staples.
