Removal

1. Remove 6 Torx screws (arrows in the illustration) screwdriver T25 and remove the air filter cover (1).

2. Pull the air filter (2) slightly upwards from the support using the handle (3) and pull it forward in the direction of the arrow.
3. Wipe the inside of the filter housing with a clean cloth.
Installation
1. Insert the new filter element into the hole in the air filter housing and press the handle in the support down.
2. Put the air filter cover back in place and tighten it.
Diesel engine
Removal

1. Remove 6 screws (1) and (2).
Note: For a 5-cylinder engine, remove 9 screws.
2. Remove the cover (3) of the air supply distribution pipe from the side.
3. Remove the engine cover (4).

4. Disconnect the air intake hose (1) by loosening the clamp (2) and sliding it back.
5. Disconnect the connector (3) at the air mass meter.
6. Unscrew the air filter cover (4) (arrows in the illustration) and take it off.
7. Remove the filter element from the housing.
8. Reset the service indicator (5) by turning it.
Installation
1. Wipe the filter housing with a cloth.
2. Insert the new filter element into the filter housing. Make sure that the gasket fits evenly around the circumference.
3. Install the air filter cover and tighten it to a torque of 10 Nm.
4. Connect the air mass meter connector and secure it. Move the plug to check the reliability of its connection.
5. Put on the air intake hose and secure it with a clamp.
6. Replace the engine cover and tighten it by hand, being careful not to pinch the hose or wire.
7. Insert the cover of the air distribution pipe from the side, making sure that the tabs enter the rubber clamps (5).
8. Tighten the mounting bolts to a torque of 10 Nm.
