Removing
1. Remove 6 Torx screws (arrows in the illustration) screwdriver T25 and remove the air filter cover (1).
2. Pull the air filter slightly up from the support (2) by the handle (3) and pull forward in the direction of the arrow.
3. Wipe the inside of the filter housing with a clean cloth.
Installation
1. Insert a new filter element into the hole in the air filter housing and press the handle in the support down.
2. Replace the air filter cover and tighten it.
Diesel engine
Removing
1. Remove 6 screws (1) And (2).
Note. For a 5-cylinder engine, remove 9 screws.
2. Remove the side cover (3) air distribution pipe.
3. Remove the engine cover (4).
4. Disconnect the air suction hose (1), why loosen the clamp (2) and slide back.
5. Disconnect the connector (3) at the air mass meter.
6. Unscrew the air filter cover (4) (arrows in the illustration) and take it off.
7. Remove the filter element from the housing.
8. Reset the maintenance indicator (5), by turning it.
Installation
1. Wipe the filter housing with a cloth.
2. Insert a new filter element into the filter housing. Make sure that the gasket fits evenly around the circumference.
3. Install the air filter cover and secure it with a torque of 10Nm.
4. Connect the air mass meter connector and fix it. Move the plug, checking the reliability of its connection.
5. Put on the air suction hose and secure it with a clamp.
6. Replace the engine cover and screw it on by hand. Be careful not to pinch the hose or wire.
7. Insert the cover of the discharge air distribution pipe from the side. At the same time, make sure that the paws enter the rubber clamps (5).
8. Tighten the mounting bolts to 10 Nm.
