The expanding clamp consists of the actual clamp and a plastic screw (1) or pin (2). A plastic screw is screwed into the hole in the clamp, or a pin is pressed into the clamp, causing the legs of the clamp to open.
Many plastic lids and claddings are fastened with expansion clips.
Removing
1 Plastic screw: Using a small screwdriver, loosen the plastic screw a little and pry the screw clip out of the hole.
2 Expanding pin: Use a small screwdriver or fingernails to pry the pin out a little (2) from the clamp.
Installation
1. Plastic screw: Insert the clip with the plastic screw backed out into the hole and screw in the screw.
2. Expanding pin: Insert the clip with the pin extended into the hole and push the pin in.
3. The clamp is now locked.
