If your car is additionally equipped with an airbag, you can find out by the inscription "SRS-AIRBAG". On the steering wheel and the "SRS" indicator light on the control panel.

If your car is additionally equipped with an airbag, you can find out by the inscription…

The airbag (1) is located behind the steering wheel and is linked to the fastened seat belts and belt tensioners, providing better protection for the driver.

Functioning (readiness to work) the airbag support system is indicated by the "SRS" indicator light (3) on the control panel. If the key in the steering lock is in position 1 or 2, the indicator light lights for about 4 seconds. If it does not light, does not go out, flickers, or lights up during the trip, there are some malfunctions. The "SRS" support system is therefore not working. In this case, we recommend that you visit the service immediately, i.e. there is a risk of "SRS" failure in an accident.

The airbag is designed so that it only works in severe accidents. The driver must be wearing a seatbelt, otherwise the "airbag" will not protect him in this case.

In minor frontal crashes, rollovers, side or rear impacts, or other crashes in which no strong forces are applied from the front, the airbag system does not operate. The driver and all other passengers are protected by the usual seat belts.

When the SRS system is activated, a small cloud of smoke is produced. This smoke is not harmful to health and does not lead to a fire.

The expiration date of the "cushion" is pasted on the door on the driver's side. When it expires, you should visit the service.
