This also applies to vehicles with belt tensioners and airbags (AIR-BAG), because these systems provide complete safety only when the occupants are wearing their seat belts.
Attention! All seat belts are for one person only. They are not intended for persons (especially for children) up to 140 cm tall. They are only allowed to ride in the car in the back seat using the support system. Our proposed child restraint devices can be attached to existing seat belt devices. Information about them will be given to you in any service "Mercedes Benz".
Warning signals (seat belts)
These signals remind you to fasten your seat belts before driving. After a short flash, they will automatically turn off.
The car is equipped with seat belts on all seats, and on the front seats there are also belt tensioners with an automatic seat belt roll-out system.
Fastening the seat belt
Belt with closing tongue (1) pull over the shoulder and pelvic region so that the pelvic part of the belt passes in front of the tibia. The belt must not be twisted or twisted for safety reasons. Avoid seating positions that interfere with the correct installation of seat belts.
Closing tongue (1) enter into the castle (2) until you hear a click. Put on the seat belts on the front seats in such a way that the upper belt belt passes through the middle of the shoulder. To do this, the seat belt outlet can be adjusted in height by pressing the button. (4) (3 positions).
The belt must be tight. It is necessary to control it when dressing, as well as when traveling. The pelvic part of the belt can be tightened by pulling the upper part of the belt up.
Releasing the seat belt
Press book. (3) in the castle (2). Bring out the tongue (1). The seat belt buckles on the left and right rear seats can be "drown" in the grooves of the seat cushions.
Operating principle
Automatic seat belt roll-out prevents the seat belt from moving out during fast driving and braking.
The locking function of the automation can be controlled by quickly retracting the belt.
Pelvic strap at the back
A belt with a closing tongue should cover the pelvic region in front of the tibia. Insert closing tongue (1) to the castle (2) to the click. The seat belt must not be twisted and must fit snugly for safety reasons, avoid seating positions that interfere with the correct fastening of the seat belts.
To shorten the strap with the buckle latched, pull on the end of the strap. To lengthen the belt, before putting on the belt, set the locking tongue a little more than 90°in relation to the belt tape and pull it out.
To loosen the belt (3) in the castle (2) press.
If the middle seat is not occupied, then insert the lock and the unfolded seat belt into the grooves under the back of the rear seat (left and right of armrest).
Belt tensioners
They are used with the automatic extraction of seat belts (at positions 1 and 2 of the key in the steering column lock).
The seat belt pretensioners are designed in such a way that they only operate in severe crashes. They tighten the seat belts so that they lie close to the body and provide minimal forward movement of the body.
In minor frontal crashes, rollovers, side or rear collisions, or other crashes in which no powerful front forces are applied, the belt tensioners will not operate. At the same time, the driver and all other passengers have the usual protection in the form of seat belts.
