Bumpers — disassembly and assembly (Mercedes-Benz C-Class W201)

1. The front and rear bumpers consist of a protective strip, a porous unit, a decorative overlay and a reinforcing element assembled as a sandwich. Disassembly of both bumpers is carried out in the following order.

2. Loosen the side mounting screws on both sides at the ends

3. Push back the retaining strips in pairs, top and bottom, starting from the outside and working towards the center.

4. Remove the protective strips and foam element.

5. Press the clips back and remove the decorative trim from the reinforcing element.

6. Press the latch back onto the threaded holders on both sides while simultaneously sliding the holder back to remove.

7. Loosen the nuts and bolts securing the front holders and remove the holders.

8. Assembly is carried out in reverse order.
