Removal and installation the lambda probe (Mercedes-Benz S-Class W140)

Lambda probe (oxygen sensor) is installed in the exhaust system and is equipped with built-in electrical wiring ending in a contact connector - try to avoid damaging the electrical wiring when removing the sensor.

Carefully wipe the sensor surface without using any solvents. If the engine temperature is below 48°C, the sensor may be difficult to unscrew.

Before screwing the sensor into place, do not forget to lubricate its threaded part with anti-seize sealant. Make sure that the sensor is tightened with the required force.
