Before using the table to determine faults, the following conditions must be met: start-up errors are excluded; both with a cold and a warm engine, the gas pedal must be slightly depressed at start-up and held in this position; when the engine is hot, fully depress the gas pedal at start-up and hold it in this position until the engine starts. There must be fuel in the tank, the engine mechanics are in order, the battery is charged, the starter must give the required speed, the fuel system is tight, contamination in the fuel system must be excluded, crankcase ventilation is in order, good ground contact engine - gearbox - body.
Attention: If fuel lines are unscrewed, they must be pre-washed with gasoline.
