Lighting system — description and table of lamps (Mercedes-Benz C-Class W202)

0
The lighting system includes: main headlights, taillights, brake lights, reversing lights, turn signal lights, rear fog lights and lamps. (Instrument panel lighting is discussed in subsection 13.1.14.)

Over time, incandescent bulbs wear out. Therefore, replace them approximately every 2 years, even if they are still in good condition. This does not apply to halogen (iodine) incandescent bulbs, which are used, for example, in headlights. Halogen bulbs usually last much longer and should only be replaced when they fail. An incandescent bulb with reduced luminous intensity can be identified by a black coating on the glass bulb.

Before replacing an incandescent lamp, disconnect the corresponding power consumer.

To be able to replace the lamp at any time, always carry a special box with spare lamps in your car.
