Incandescent bulbs wear out over time. Therefore, replace them approximately every 2 years, even if they are still intact. This does not apply to halogen (iodine) incandescent lamps, such as those used in main headlights. Halogen lamps typically last much longer and should only be replaced when they fail. An incandescent lamp with reduced luminous intensity is identified by a black coating on a glass bulb.
Before replacing a light bulb, switch off the relevant power consumer.
To ensure that the lamp can be replaced at any time, carry a special box of spare lamps with you at all times in your vehicle.
