Removal
1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
2. Pry up the luggage compartment light, disconnect the wire and remove the light.
3. Remove the wiring harness from the cavity in the trunk lid.
4. Use a pencil to trace the hinges on the lid.
5. Place rags under the lower corners of the trunk lid and, with the help of an assistant, unscrew the mounting bolts (see fig. 14.5). Remove the cover from the car.

Installation
6. Installation is carried out in the reverse order. Before tightening the bolts, align the hinges with the marks made before removal. Adjust the lock stop plate to ensure satisfactory closing and opening of the trunk lid (see fig. 14.6).
