1. Remove the drive shaft (see Section Removal and installation front axle drive shafts).

2. Remove both mounting clamps (1) and slide the rubber boot (2) back.

3. Release the spring washer (3) and use a soft-faced hammer to knock the pivot assembly (4) off the shaft journal.

4. Using a suitable press, remove the bushing (5).

5. Carefully wipe the removed components, replace defective units.

6. Installation is carried out in the reverse order - the bushing (5) should be heated to a temperature of 160÷180°C before mounting on the shaft. Do not forget to fill the hinge joint with long-life grease (000 989 63 51).
