Removal



1. Remove the cooling fan hydraulic clutch.

2. Disconnect the coolant hose (4) at the fan shroud (11).

3. Remove the retaining springs (1).

4. Pull the fan shroud (11) up out of the clamp on the radiator.

Installation



1. Insert the fan shroud with the retaining plates into the clamping device on the radiator. The number of retaining plates may vary depending on the model.

2. Install the fan casing (11) on one axis in relation to the fan (25) in accordance with the specified dimensions:
  • A: 22-25 mm
  • H: 25-38 mm
  • C: 17-23 mm

3. Press the locking springs (1).

4. Install the coolant hose.

Features of the 6-cylinder engine


1. To remove the fan shroud ring (2), pull out the locking pin (1).

2. Turn the ring to the left and place it on top of the fan.

3. Place the fan shroud ring onto the shroud (3) and turn it to the right until the locking pin can be inserted.

Diesel engine



Removal



1. Disconnect the retaining clips. On a 2.5L engine, pull the fan shroud out of the clamp (arrow) and position it over the fan.

2. Disassemble the hydraulic clutch of the cooling system fan.

3. Disconnect the coolant supply hose from the fan shroud.

4. 2.0/2.2L Engine: Pull the fan shroud up out of the clamp on the radiator.

Installation



Installation


1. Insert the fan shroud with the retaining bars (arrows) into the clamping device on the radiator. The number of retaining bars may vary depending on the model.

2. Center the fan shroud in relation to the fan itself according to the dimensions given.

2.0L engine:
  • A = 22 mm
  • B = 31 mm
  • C = 20 mm

2.2/2.5L engine:
  • A = 22 mm
  • B = 28 mm
  • C = 20 mm

3. Press the retaining springs.

4. Attach the coolant supply hose.
