Warning! Noises that occur when the seat belt is wound up are due to the operation of the device. If disturbing noises occur, you can only replace the seat belt. Never use oil or grease to eliminate noise. The automatic retractor mechanism of the seat belts must not be destroyed, as the pretensioned spring may jump out. There is a risk of injury!
1. Pull the seat belt fully out and check the webbing for frayed fibers.
2. Damage can occur, for example, due to a seat belt clip or burning cigarettes. In this case, replace the seat belt. If there are abrasions with no signs of fraying of the fibers, the seat belt can not be replaced.
3. Check the hard-moving seat belt for twisting, if necessary, remove the trim from the B-pillar.
4. If the automatic retractor of the seat belts no longer functions, replace the belt.
Attention! Use only soap and water to clean the seat belt webbing, never use solvents or chemical detergents.
