Replacing the cabin filter (Mercedes-Benz S-Class W140)

Note: Replacement of the cabin filter must be carried out in accordance with the above Schedule of current maintenance

Replacing the heater/ventilation dust filter (the upper arrow indicates the cuff connection, the lower arrow indicates the direction of releasing the thermovalve)

B10/5 - Air temperature sensor


1. Disconnect the cuff connections.

2. Disconnect the vacuum tubes from the air flaps (43) and (44).

3. Unscrew the bolts (3).

4. Lift the cover (2).

5. Disconnect the thermal valve (7) by turning it to the left.

6. Remove the air temperature sensor (B10/5).

7. Remove the cover (2).

8. Remove the cabin filter element and install a new one in its place - the filter element cannot be cleaned.
