1. The relevant illustrative material is presented in the illustration, to which all references in the text refer.

2. Remove the door sill cover of the corresponding door (1) (see Section Removal and installation door sill trims).

3. Remove the two front screws from the threshold trim.

4. Separate the lower front corner of the door seal (2).

5. When working in the driver's footwell, unscrew the bolt (5) securing the hood latch release lever (6) to the A-pillar. Disconnect the drive cable and remove the lever (6).

6. When removing the passenger well trim, loosen the fuse and relay box cover latches (8) by turning them 1/4 turn counterclockwise and bringing them to a vertical position, then loosen the nut (9).

7. Release the remaining fasteners and remove the trim panel (3 or 4), slightly lifting the threshold trim if necessary.

8. Installation is carried out in reverse order.
